( Foeniculum vulgare )     Description   The Fennel belongs to the family of Umbelliferae. The seed is very aromatic, medium-sized, oval-shaped, plate and beige coloured. Fennel sprouts require quite a long time to grow, normally 13-14 days.   Properties   Fennel sprouts are diuretic, they help reduce excesses of liquids and fats from our organism, they stimulate salivary and gastric secretions as well as choleresis.
